Project to Support Transportation Expenses of Gyeonggi Province Youths

Background

In light of the increasing intra-city and community bus fares of Gyeonggi Province, we seek to relieve the transportation expense burden of youths who often use public transportation but are economically vulnerable. To each such youth, we will distribute up to KRW 120,000 per year for transportation expenses in the form of local currency.
* Due to the Gyeonggi Province policy, foreign teenager who are not registered at Household Register (Resident Register, Jumin Deunglogpyo) cannot get supported.

    Support
    • Who are Eligible?
      Youths between 13-23 years of age who are
      i) living in Gyeonggi Province as of who submit application and
      ii) used public transportation including Gyeonggi buses within the prescribed period.
    • When can I Submit?
      Every January and July
    • How much can I Supported?
      As you spent for public transportation in Gyeonggi, up to KRW 60,000 per half year (up to KRW 120,000 per year) by local currency.
      ※ To get supported, your trip must include Gyeonggi Bus usage.
      i) Trip which only by Gyeonggi buses (intra-city and/or local bus) ☞ ✓
      ii) Trip includes Seoul buses, Incheon buses, and Subway lines when he/she transfered to/from Gyeonggi buses within 30 minitues ☞ ✓
      iii) Trip only by Subway lines, or Seoul/Incheon buses ☞ × (Excluded from total amount of support.)
    • What is Required?
      Applicants can recieve supported money by local currency under the name of the recipient.
      So applicants have to issue Local currency by their smartphone first.
      (Those who are 13 years old or who may not available to use local currency,
      applicants can receive support money by their guardian's local currency account.)
    • How can I Apply?

    • Exclusion
      If a youth is receiving transportation expense support from the central government or another local government, he/she is ineligible for transportation expense support from Gyeonggi Province.
